How to search

Find a carrier or broker by MC number, DOT number, name, or VIN.

How to search

The search bar at the top of every page accepts four kinds of input. Pick whichever you have on hand and TBR figures out the rest.

Search types

  • MC number. For example MC-123456 or just 123456. The most common starting point if you're working from a rate confirmation. Works for both carriers and brokers.
  • DOT number. For example DOT 987654 or just 987654. Useful when you have a Cab Card or carrier packet.
  • Name. Partial matches are fine. "Bannon Logistics" finds "Bannon Logistics LLC". Expect more than one result.
  • VIN. The 17-character vehicle identification number from a truck or trailer. Helpful when verifying a specific piece of equipment.

Opening a report

Click any result to open the full report. Reports load instantly once you've opened them, so you can move between sections without waiting. For ambiguous queries (a common name, for instance), refine the search by adding the state or a partial MC.

Tips

  • If you can't find a record, double-check the MC vs. DOT prefix. They aren't interchangeable.
  • New authorities can take a few weeks to appear after they're granted. See the FAQ.
